Tell me what's actually broken.

That's the whole first conversation. No deck, no discovery questionnaire — just the specific thing that's slowing your team down right now.

Good fit if

  • You can point to one specific workflow that's actually broken
  • Someone on your team can test a fix with real work, not just review it
  • You're open to the fix being a process or documentation change, not only automation

Not a fit if

  • You're after a strategy deck or "AI opportunities" presentation
  • The goal is a case for cutting headcount
  • You need a fully custom platform build, not something on the tools you already run

Not sure where to start

Here's roughly what each entry point covers.

Scope and cost depend on team size and the systems already in play — happy to talk it through before anything's formal.

01 — Audit

Operations Diagnostic

Best if you know something's broken but aren't sure what to fix first — process, knowledge, or automation.

02 — Sprint · Most common starting point

Build Sprint

Best if you already know the fix and want it built, adopted, and running.

03 — Fractional

Fractional Operations Leadership

Best if you need ongoing senior ops judgment without a full-time hire.

Before you reach out

A few things people usually ask.

How is this priced?

Scoped per engagement based on team size and the systems already in play — not a flat rate off a menu. You'll get real numbers on the first call, before anything's formal.

How long does an engagement take?

Varies by scope, but the shape is consistent: an Operations Diagnostic is a short, bounded piece of work; a Build Sprint is scoped to ship one fix, not open-ended; Fractional Operations Leadership is ongoing, reviewed quarterly. Exact timelines get set on the call.

Remote or on-site?

Primarily remote. On-site by arrangement where it genuinely helps — a kickoff, a floor walk, a stretch of fractional work.

Do you only work with Perth businesses?

No — Carpent is based in Perth, but works with businesses across Australia. Most engagements run fully remote; on-site is available by arrangement for Perth/WA clients.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, standard practice — happy to sign one before any specifics are shared.

What if we don't have a dedicated ops or engineering resource?

That's fine — most of the value is in the diagnosis and the build itself, not in you having spare technical capacity. You'll need someone who can test the fix on real work; you don't need someone who can build it.

What platforms do you work with?

Platform-agnostic by design. The fix gets built on whatever CRM, helpdesk, ERP, or storefront you already run — not a proprietary tool you'd have to adopt.
